Salt Creek/Public Shooting Grounds WMA Restoration

Purpose: Repair critical water management infrastructure at Salt Creek and Public Shooting Grounds Wildlife Management Areas (WMA), benefiting approximately 2,828 acres of exceptionally well-preserved wetlands in the Bear River watershed. The project includes repairing the Bypass Canal at Salt Creek WMA and the Pintail Lake levee at Public Shooting Grounds WMA, along with installing water monitoring equipment.

Benefits: These improvements will make water management more reliable, supporting the long-term ecological resiliency of wetlands and benefiting Great Salt Lake hydrology through enhanced water delivery and retention.
