Urban Water Conservation Results in New Water Flows to Great Salt Lake

WHAT: A press conference for National Audubon Society and The Nature Conservancy, as co-managers of the Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust, the Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy, and State leadership to announce the release of new water shares for Great Salt Lake that are available thanks to conservation efforts of Salt Lake City and Sandy City residents and businesses. Following speakers (listed below), media will have the opportunity to ask the panel questions, interview individuals and get additional photo/video.

WHY: The Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust has secured this water annually for Great Salt Lake through an innovative partnership with the Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy City to benefit the hydrology and ecological functions of Great Salt Lake for the next five to ten years.
